children's ministry

It is a privilege to serve parents and their children at Sovereign Grace Church! Our children’s ministry provides contexts that supplement and support the parents’ biblical responsibility to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:1-4). We provide nursery and classroom ministry for infants through 10-years-old during our Sunday Celebration. The rest of our “children’s ministry” consists of providing adult ministries to equip parents to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, for the benefit of their children.

Structure and Curricula

Pre-School Classroom: This class is offered for children 6-months-old through 3-years-old year-round after worship. Along with time to play in a fun and safe environment, our teachers lead these young ones through age appropriate lessons from the Jesus Storybook Bible.

Early Elementary Age Classroom: This class is provided during the school year (the summers are off) for children 4- to 6-years-old after the worship service. We use the Gospel Story curriculum that focuses on the gospel as it teaches children stories throughout the Bible that highlight God's plan of redemption.

Upper Elementary Age Classroom: This class is provided during the school year (the summers are off) for children 7- to 10-years-old after the worship service. We use the Gospel Story curriculum that focuses on the gospel as it teaches children stories throughout the Bible that highlight God's plan of redemption.

Safety

Child safety is a priority for us. All our teachers and helpers are members who have been screened through a process that includes MinistrySafe training and certification.

Children's Lending library

In our lobby, we have a lending library that includes a large selection of books for children. We have made it our goal to provide theologically rich materials for parents and children to use together. From board books to storybooks to illustrated libraries and theological materials, we hope there is something there for you to enjoy!
