Who We Are

[NEEDS WORK]

We are a body of believers serving Aurora, Colorado and the greater Denver area. We were first planted in Denver in 1998 by a team from Virginia and Maryland as part of Sovereign Grace Churches (nee Sovereign Grace Ministries). Around 2008 we felt called to move to Aurora and experienced a shift in pastoral leadership. Pastor Mark Alderton moved from Minnesota with his family to be our new senior pastor. Now our mission can be summed up in three words: Worship. Grow. Go.

Worship.

We seek to worship God through singing, the teaching of His Word, and service to his people. Our primary outlet for this is Sunday Service, but we believe that worship is a way of living and not just something we do Sunday mornings.

Grow.

We desire to grow in godliness and to live in the joy that comes with being a child of God. We believe that it is in community that we grow, by encouraging and exhorting one another to good works, and bearing each other's burdens. We do this most often within our small groups.

Go.

We long to see others in our community, and beyond, come to know God. We pursue this by participating in and supporting local and global service of others which allows us to share God's love and gospel.

Our Mission

Worship.

"You have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you." - Augustine.

Worship. Everyone worships something. You are made in God's image and therefore cannot escape your design that longs for something greater, something (or someone) that is transcendent, majestic, glorious. This longing can only be fully and rightly satisfied in God himself, the God who has revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ. We gather Sundays and at other times to worship him together.

Grow.

"We are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ." - Paul the apostle.

Growth is the natural progression of living things. With people that includes growth in our character. But sin and failure have affected all of us and stunted our growth. We're not what the Lord intended us to be; we're not what we ought to be for each other. But it doesn't have to stay that way! We can become more like Jesus, the perfect man. We meet in smaller groups during the week to help each other to grow.

go.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations." - Jesus.

Good news is for sharing. There's no better news than to hear that you can be forgiven your sins and have eternal life! These blessings are only found in trusting Jesus as Savior, and many more blessings come as we follow him day by day. So we make it our aim to serve people as Jesus did, and tell them about our wonderful Lord so they too will follow him as disciples. We do this through participating in and supporting local and global community outreach.
